Speedmachine

Let my girlfriend ride the Suzuki, it was only her second time on the bike, she loved it.

This meant this was the first time I could listen to it and see how it all looks while riding. I'm reasonably satisfied, it's not the most beautiful bike I ever build (not by far), but it certainly is the cheapest and it will do nicely for what it's intended to do: Be a cheap bike for the shorter distances in and around town. The two things that are high on my list now are a smaller front wheel, a better seat and a better rear tire.

Dutch Caferacerday 2010

The weather was excellent today. Sunny, but not too warm. The atmosphere was great, smiling people all around:

If you can't stand the heat

Isolate... Made a heat shield on the exhaust near my right leg and glued some heat reflectors to the bottom of the seat. My ass was getting burned on the last (and longest so far) ride. Tomorrow to Achterveld is going to be a lot longer and I prefer cow meat on the BBQ over getting my own flesh grilled.

Watch this blog, I plan on taking a lot of photo's tomorrow. 

Sticky...

It's unbelievably hot out here. Every nut I try to screw on causes a river of sweat... Nevertheless: done some work. The Suzuki's got a new front tire. Thanks to Peter! So Peter: Thanks :)

It's an allroad tire which obviously performs heaps better than the old, worn offroad tire I had before. Also ditched the headlightfairing. Too much hasle to replace the burned out bulbs (which they do every once in a while) and didn't really like the look of it. So it's back to a plain and simple single headlight.
